A BTC whale who has been holding for 12 years sold 250 BTC one hour ago and still holds 4000 BTC

BlockBeats News, July 21st, according to on-chain data analyst Wu Jinyan's monitoring, a whale address holding BTC for as long as 12 years moved 250 BTC (approximately $29.68 million) to Binance 1 hour ago.


The whale address received and hoarded 5,000 BTC 12 years ago (November 2013), equivalent to about $1.66 million at the time when the price was only $332.


After holding these 5,000 BTC for 11 years, starting in November 2024, the whale began to sell. In the past 8 months, they have sold a total of 1,000 BTC (approximately $102 million), with an average selling price of $102,410. Currently, they still hold 4,000 BTC (approximately $474 million).
