AI Settlement Volume of Ripple Dollar Increases by 103% in 7 Days
The settlement volume of AI agents using Ripple Dollar (RLUSD) has increased by 103% over the past seven days, reaching 135.99 tokens. During the same period, the settlement volume of XRP decreased by 6% to 214.10 tokens. The total number of transactions by AI agents rose by 51%, totaling 378,720 transactions. The price of XRP fell from $1.5475 on August 23 to $1.4041 on August 27. It is analyzed that AI agents have increased their proportion of RLUSD to manage payment budgets in dollar terms. The current 7-day tab of the XRPL AI Hub shows settlements of 5,474.47 XRP and 2,423.02 RLUSD, with a total transaction count of 2,614,905. Ripple designed the XRPL AI Starter Kit, released in June, to enable AI agents to perform automatic payments. As of August 20, the circulating supply of RLUSD has increased to $1.8665 billion, and Ripple has expanded the release of RLUSD in Turkey and Japan. While it is difficult to definitively conclude the impact of XRP price increases on RLUSD demand, this data shows that volatile tokens and dollar-pegged stablecoins can be used for different payment purposes.
