Armstrong Remains Silent After Democrats' Victory... Musk Acknowledges Election Support Failure
Brian Armstrong, CEO of Coinbase, has not commented on the election results following the Democrats' overwhelming victory in the midterm elections. He had encouraged voter participation before the election and called for a judgment against anti-digital asset politicians, but has remained silent since the results were announced. In contrast, Elon Musk spent $474 million supporting Republican candidates but posted a self-deprecating message acknowledging that his support did not yield the desired results. Musk joked about the Democratic candidate's victory in the Texas Senate race, indicating that his political influence did not lead to the expected outcomes. The Democrats seized control of both the Senate and the House in the midterm elections, realizing the 'blue wave.' According to Stand With Crypto, 241 candidates with pro-digital asset inclinations were elected, but this does not guarantee support or opposition in the legislative process. The Democrats are reviewing measures to strengthen the SEC's oversight powers and investor protection provisions, leaving new political challenges for the digital asset industry.
