Artemis II Astronauts Return to Earth After Historic Mission

Four astronauts from NASA's Artemis II mission completed a nine-day journey to the Moon in April of this year, marking a new milestone in space exploration. The crew, consisting of Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and Jeremy Hansen, broke distance records by traveling the far side of the Moon aboard the Orion spacecraft. After the mission, Koch gained millions of followers on Instagram, while Hansen participated in sporting events. Susan Kilrain, a former astronaut, emphasized that post-mission success depends on diversifying careers beyond the role of astronaut. Glover sent a message from space, highlighting the unity of humanity: 'We are all Homo sapiens, no matter where you come from.' The Orion capsule successfully splashed down in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of San Diego, and the astronauts were recovered by NASA and U.S. military teams.
