Arthur Hayes: Focus on Established DeFi Projects with Cash Flow
In an interview with The Rollup, Maelstrom co-founder Arthur Hayes stated that market confidence should be built on cash flow. He is interested in projects that have real paying customers and can return profits to token holders. He believes that AI Agents will utilize time-tested protocols, and it is noteworthy to focus on projects that have survived since the DeFi Summer of 2020 and are still profitable. These projects have seen significant price drops but remain widely used, with reasonable price-to-earnings ratios and composability between protocols. Hayes does not believe that the next wave of opportunities will primarily come from new projects, and he mentioned that the tokens of projects he is optimistic about, which he believes could increase tenfold, are already tradable.
