BTC.top founder predicts low odds for U.S. Clarity Act procedural vote
Jiang Zhuoer, founder of mining pool BTC.top, stated that the odds of the U.S. Clarity Act clearing a procedural vote on Sept. 15 are low. He noted that Polymarket's estimated odds of passage increased to 28% from 14% after Republicans accepted approximately 80% of the provisions previously objected to by Democrats. However, he indicated that the actual level of compromise remains around 60%. Jiang highlighted that Democrats' demands were not adequately addressed on key issues, particularly regarding ethics provisions and enforcement authority. He pointed out that Democrats aimed to extend the ethics clause to include not only federal officials and their spouses but also their children and related entities, while the latest bill restricts its application to officials and spouses.
