Canva is expanding its strategy to consolidate scattered generative AI tools for writing, images, videos, and research into a single workflow. Since the launch of Magic Studio in 2023, the same awareness of the issue has been at the forefront of its products leading up to Canva AI 2.0 in 2026. Melanie Perkins, CEO of Canva, noted that the AI market is highly fragmented, diagnosing that the structure requiring users to switch between multiple tools disrupts the creative flow. Canva is addressing this problem by providing a consumer-friendly platform that integrates design, video, and document features in a 'one-stop' manner. According to a year-end review in 2023, the usage of AI products exceeded 4 billion times, and it is expected to be introduced as an 'all-in-one creative partner' by 2025. In 2026, Canva plans to introduce Canva AI 2.0 as an interactive production platform that will integrate design, documents, images, and scheduling features. The usage of AI products has reached 27 billion times. Canva's strategy emphasizes accessibility over professional design software, aiming to bundle complex functions into a low-barrier working environment. External evaluations are mixed, with TechCrunch rating Canva's Magic Studio as an 'all-in-one AI design product.'
