Coinbase Bitcoin Premium Index Hits Record 78 Days of Negative Premium

The Coinbase Bitcoin Premium Index has been in negative premium territory for 78 consecutive days, with the latest value at -0.1145%. This index has maintained a negative premium since May 19, setting the longest record since its launch. Previously, the index recorded a negative premium for 40 consecutive days from January 16 to February 24, surpassing the approximately 30 days of continuous negative premium during the "1011 crash" period. Historical data shows that prolonged negative premiums are often accompanied by the exit of institutional funds from the U.S., indicating a need to be cautious of short-term pullback pressures.
