Compound Community Proposes Transferring EPCF Fund Control to Multi-Signature Scheme

By: www.comp.xyz|10/08/2026 10:05:26

Members of the Compound community, led by ugurmersin, have submitted a compromise proposal regarding the closed proposal number 613. They suggest not shutting down the Emergency Protocol Continuity Fund (EPCF), but rather changing the key holders. The income from the EPCF and the mainnet SVR will be transferred from the Safes controlled solely by the foundation to a community multi-signature mechanism, which requires five out of nine signers, while emergency deployments will still be available. Previously, ugurmersin stated that the Compound Foundation misappropriated public funds and suggested closing the EPCF, but the foundation objected to this.
