Echelon Raises Investment Round to Support Its Expansion in Artificial Intelligence
Saudi artificial intelligence company Echelon has raised an undisclosed investment round, supported by East40, RAED Ventures, Avra, along with Ben Horowitz and other investors. The company was founded by Prince Khalid bin Badr Al Saud in 2025, and aims to implement and localize artificial intelligence technologies within institutions and government entities in Saudi Arabia. Echelon operates across sectors including energy, industry, government, telecommunications, defense, aviation, financial services, insurance, and healthcare, and collaborates with companies such as Applied Intuition, IFS, and Rubrik. Echelon plans to launch Frontier, an engineering arm to develop artificial intelligence solutions, and an institute to train Saudi engineers in applied artificial intelligence, during the fourth quarter of 2026, in addition to launching Echelon Defense Industries in the first quarter of 2027. The company is initially focusing on the Saudi market before expanding regionally.
