Most Ukrainian gardeners predict a decline in wholesale apple prices from January to May 2027 due to increased harvests and complex logistics. 43% of respondents expect prices to fall, 29% anticipate a rise, and 29% foresee stability. The most likely decrease is projected to be between 11-20%, as stated by 25% of those surveyed, while 14% expect a drop of more than 21%. In 2026, apple harvests in Ukraine are expected to increase significantly, which, along with rising maritime logistics costs and increased harvests in Moldova and Turkey, will put pressure on prices. Analysts believe that some of the excess supply may be absorbed by countries in Central Asia and the Caucasus, where a decrease in harvest is anticipated. If producers begin an aggressive sale of fruits, prices in the second half of the season may remain at this year's levels. It was previously reported that despite unfavorable weather conditions in the spring, there are no grounds to expect a significant reduction in apple harvests in Ukraine.
