According to Jinshi Data, Goldman Sachs currently expects the European Central Bank to raise interest rates by 25 basis points in April and June 2026, having previously predicted that rates would remain unchanged this year. This adjustment is in line with predictions from JPMorgan and Barclays last week, both of which also expect the European Central Bank to take action in April.
Goldman Sachs pointed out that conflicts in the Middle East have brought inflation risks, while rising energy prices are the main concern.
