(B3: CASH3) has made a bold move by acquiring 274.52 BTC for $28.4 million. The company now holds 320.25 BTC, valued at over $33.3 million at current market prices. This follows shareholder approval on May 15, 2025, to amend the firm’s corporate purpose and adopt Bitcoin as a strategic treasury asset.“Our shareholders have approved, by a wide majority, the transformation of Méliuz into the first Bitcoin Treasury Company listed in Brazil,” said Chairman Israel Salmen on X. According to the company’s official release, “The Company has repositioned its purpose to act by maximizing the amount of Bitcoin per share.”Méliuz completed its latest BTC purchase at an average price of $103,604.07 per Bitcoin. The previous acquisition occurred in March 2025, bringing the average purchase cost to $101,703.80 per BTC.Historic day! Méliuz’s decision to become a Bitcoin Treasury Company helped push the stock higher, much to the approval of market watchers and investors.Moreover, this initiative reflects confidence in cryptocurrency as a long-term reserve strategy.
