Ministry of Defense Codified 1,526 New Types of Weapons for 2026
In the first eight months of 2026, the Ministry of Defense codified and approved for supply 1,526 new types of weapons and military equipment, of which about 91% were produced in Ukraine. In comparison, during the same period in 2025, 983 samples were codified, with 86% being Ukrainian. The Ministry noted that one of the priorities is to provide the Ukrainian army with a technological advantage. The list of codified samples predominantly includes the latest means, including unmanned aerial complexes, armored vehicles, ammunition, communication means, and robotic complexes. The most codified items include: 565 Ukrainian UAVs, 256 ammunition types, 139 communication means, 86 ground robotic complexes, 64 electronic warfare/technical reconnaissance means, 52 vehicles, 48 types of armored vehicles, and 37 optical samples. Non-lethal samples were also approved for supply: 26 units of rear support equipment, 21 simulators, 19 engineering means for demining, and 10 samples for technical maintenance.
