Musk Claims 2T New Model Will Complete Training Next Week, Aiming to Surpass Kimi K3

After the release of Kimi K3, Musk publicly shared the progress of SpaceXAI's next large model. He stated that this 2T parameter model will complete its initial training next week, with expectations to outperform the 1.5T parameter Grok 4.5 in various aspects. Musk anticipates that the new model may surpass Kimi while maintaining a generation speed and token efficiency close to that of Grok 4.5. Tests from Artificial Analysis show that the intelligence quotients of Kimi K3 and Grok 4.5 are 57 and 54, respectively. The cost per task for both is approximately $0.94 and $0.31. Currently, Grok 4.5 is slightly weaker but costs only about one-third of Kimi K3. Musk hopes that the 2T model will bridge the capability gap while maintaining efficiency.
