Newfire Global Macro Multi-Asset Strategy Enters Seed Fund Trial Phase
Newfire Group's "Newfire Global Macro Multi-Asset Strategy" has entered the seed fund trial phase. This strategy uses the FICC+C research framework as its foundation, covering fixed income, interest rates, foreign exchange, commodities, and digital asset markets, aiming to provide multi-asset allocation solutions for institutional investors, family offices, and other professional investors. The framework is led by Newfire Group's Chief Economist Fu Peng, focusing on tracking interest rates as an independent macro variable, with "+C" pointing to digital assets. The FICC+C framework compares five asset classes across dimensions such as risk, liquidity, capital usage, holding costs, and hedging effectiveness, centered around macro themes like growth, inflation, interest rates, dollar liquidity, exchange rates, and risk appetite, forming cross-asset allocation and strategy expressions. Fu Peng noted that the current market is in a phase of liquidity stratification, with the K-shaped economy corresponding to K-shaped liquidity, and cross-asset comparisons need to pay attention to the sources and transmission paths of liquidity. Newfire Group's CEO Weng Xiaoqi stated that this strategy is an important exploration for the group in the direction of asset management, marking an extension from digital asset services to research-driven multi-asset allocation and long-term asset management services. Fu Peng will be deeply involved in the construction of the strategy's macro research framework, while investment decisions and trade execution will be independently handled by a professional investment management team, with the fund manager being Xu Weidong, a top disciple of Fu Peng.
