Senator Kirsten Gillibrand to Discuss Virtual Asset Policy on September 23
Kirsten Gillibrand, a U.S. Democratic Senator, and Tom Farley, former president of the New York Stock Exchange Group, are scheduled to attend the "Policy & Regulation 2026" keynote session on September 23 at 5:25 AM in Washington D.C., where they will discuss virtual asset policy. The session will last for 25 minutes and will be moderated by Farley. This meeting comes as discussions continue in the U.S. Congress regarding the comprehensive digital asset market bill known as the "Clarity Act." Senator Gillibrand, along with six fellow Democratic Senators, pledged bipartisan cooperation for the passage of the Clarity Act on the 16th. The CoinDesk Policy & Regulation 2026 event serves as a platform for U.S. Congress members, regulators, and stakeholders from the financial and digital asset industries to discuss digital asset policies and regulatory directions, with key topics this year including the Clarity Act, stablecoins, digital asset tax reform, and tokenization. Farley served as president of the New York Stock Exchange Group from 2014 to 2018 and currently leads the digital asset trading platform Bullish.
