Bahrain-based startup Soor, specializing in insurtech, has secured an undisclosed investment in a pre-seed round from Spring, backed by London-based investment firm Salica and the Bahrain-based Oasis Fund. Founded in 2024 by Mahmoud Dhiab and Qassem Al-Buqali, Soor operates a digital insurance platform that allows users to compare insurance policies and purchase the right one through a single app. The company is licensed by the Central Bank of Bahrain and aims to simplify the insurance purchasing process by providing transparency around policies, prices, and coverage options. Soor will use the investment to develop its platform, expand partnerships with insurance companies, enhance customer experience, and strengthen its presence in the Bahraini market. The company is also exploring regional expansion opportunities to extend its digital insurance model beyond Bahrain.
