World ID Empowers Verification for AI Agent Support
On October 3, World announced that personal AI agents such as Meta's Muse, OpenAI's dots, and Instinct are rapidly gaining popularity. Websites and services are starting to inquire "which agent is making the request" and "whether it was initiated by a real human." World ID can address these issues while protecting personal privacy. Through zero-knowledge proofs, World ID stores and verifies Proof of Human, giving agents the characteristics of being private, unique, and neutral: no personal information is shared, each person is counted only once, and it can be used across platforms based on open protocols. Currently, Okta's Human Principal beta, Vercel's WorkflowSDK, Exa's free API quota, and Browserbase's website navigation have integrated World ID to verify whether there is a real person behind the agent or to confirm that a human has approved a certain step.
