Crypto Card Payments Reach Record 12.5 Billion USD, Up 140% Year-to-Date
Payment volume on crypto cards has reached a record 12.5 billion USD, reflecting a 140% increase year-to-date. This figure is also 247% higher than the levels recorded in October 2025. The growth is attributed to the increasing use of stablecoins for payments and a demand for cheaper, faster cross-border transactions. Additionally, QR-code payments have seen a rise, with activated cards on Jupiter Spend increasing by 55% quarter-over-quarter. Major players are entering the crypto card market, with Fold Holdings launching its Fold Bitcoin Credit Card, which offers 1.5% back in bitcoin and is accepted at 175 million merchants. Aven's Bitcoin Visa Card allows holders to borrow up to 1 million USD against their bitcoin, with rates starting at 7.99% APR.
