Fairshake Announces $30 Million Campaign Against Democratic Candidate Brown
The cryptocurrency super PAC Fairshake has announced a $30 million advertising campaign against Ohio Democratic Senate candidate Sherrod Brown, set to launch this Tuesday, which will include ad placements and mail outreach. This move comes after Democrats blocked the crypto-friendly CLARITY Act legislation last week, aimed at protecting the crypto industry from regulatory crackdowns under future Democratic administrations, with all Senate Democrats voting against it. Fairshake currently has a reserve of $120.4 million. The organization previously invested $41 million against Brown's campaign in 2024, when he was the highest-ranking Democrat on the Senate Banking Committee, ultimately losing the election. With Brown running again, if elected, he would return to that committee. Fairshake stated that it will also announce plans to support or oppose candidates from both parties in the House and Senate. Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse and crypto billionaire Tyler Winklevoss have both publicly expressed support for this initiative.

Bitcoin pulled back from about $87,000 to about $84,000, with Ethereum near $2,680. S&P Global PMI on September 23 ET far exceeded forecasts.
