Fairshake Plans to Invest $30 Million Against Sherrod Brown
The U.S. Senate failed to advance the Digital Asset Market Clear Act on September 15, with a vote of 49 in favor and 50 against, reducing the likelihood of the bill's passage. The political action committee Fairshake plans to invest $30 million to oppose Senator Sherrod Brown in the Ohio Senate race. Fairshake has already spent over $130 million on advertising in the 2024 election cycle, including approximately $41 million opposing Brown. The initiative organization Stand With Crypto, launched by Coinbase in 2023, stated that it will mobilize supporters for the 2026 midterm elections based on lawmakers' voting records on the bill. As of Monday, Fairshake and its affiliated political action committee have not disclosed any new expenditures following the vote.
