Jensen Huang Meets with U.S. Secretary of Commerce to Discuss $500 Billion Technology Production in the U.S. Over Four Years
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang met with U.S. Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo on July 29 to discuss NVIDIA's plan to produce $500 billion worth of technology products in the United States over the next four years, aimed at strengthening the national supply chain. The meeting also addressed the U.S.'s leadership in the AI sector and its advantages in open-source technology. Huang's itinerary in Washington included meetings with Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Mark Warner and other members of Congress. Meanwhile, the Trump administration is developing a new framework requiring advanced AI models to provide early access to the U.S. government before their release and to assess policy positions on open-source AI.
