Former Vice Minister of Science and Technology Li Meng stated at the 2026 Xiamen Conference on the Development of Science and Technology Innovation Industries and Securities that China's future industries will concentrate on the process of intelligence and its guidance towards greening. The main areas include artificial intelligence, green low-carbon initiatives, and healthy living, which are the mainstream directions for economic and social development. At the same time, high-end manufacturing, computing connectivity, and security development will support these directions. The deep integration of technological innovation and industrial innovation will unfold in these six areas.
