In September, tokenized stocks accounted for an average of 11% of trades on decentralized exchanges (DEX), while meme coins represented 17%. This shift indicates a transfer of trading volume from meme coins to traditional tokenized assets. Data from Binance Research shows that the share of tokenized stocks in DEX trades was close to zero for most of 2025 and did not change significantly in the first half of 2026. However, since late summer, tokenized stocks surpassed meme coins in late July. The share of meme coins fluctuated between 6% and 53% in 2025, reaching 17% in September. The market value of tokenized stocks surpassed $3 billion in the fourth week of September, making it the fastest-growing segment in the market for tokenized real-world assets (RWA) in 2026. In mid-September, the BNB Chain network captured about $1 billion of this market, equivalent to 34% of its total value. The on-chain transfer volume of tokenized stocks increased from $6 billion in the first quarter of the year to over $100 billion in the third quarter.
