The combined market capitalization of the top 50 companies holding BTC has decreased to 67 billion dollars from 150 billion dollars in July 2025, a loss of over 80 billion dollars since mid-2025. Among these companies, 43 experienced declines in share prices after announcing BTC purchase plans, with 35 seeing drops exceeding 50%. Companies that relied on stock and bond issuance to fund BTC purchases in hopes of boosting share prices are now facing declines in both BTC and stock prices, along with fundraising challenges. Some have started selling their holdings and refocusing on core businesses. The top 50 companies became net sellers in July, offloading about 2500 BTC more than they acquired since then.
