Bitcoin ETFs See $484.9 Million Outflows Led By BlackRock
US spot Bitcoin ETFs experienced $484.9 million in net outflows on October 7. BlackRock's IBIT led the withdrawals with $207.7 million, followed by Fidelity's FBTC with $105.1 million and ARK's ARKB with $101.7 million. Other funds like Bitwise's BITB, Grayscale's GBTC, and VanEck's HODL also reported outflows of $27.6 million, $39.3 million, and $3.5 million respectively. This significant outflow follows a session where the group had recorded $118.8 million in net inflows. The rapid shift in ETF flows highlights the volatility in institutional sentiment towards Bitcoin. The outflows occurred amid a challenging macro environment for risk assets, with investors closely monitoring interest rates and geopolitical factors. Despite the substantial withdrawals, the structural demand for Bitcoin ETFs remains, as they provide a regulated investment channel for those not wishing to hold BTC directly.
