BTCPay Server Releases Version 2.4.5, Docker Deployment Defaults to Disable Tor
BTCPay Server has released version 2.4.5, enhancing the security of Lightning and LNURL, and improving invoice generation performance. This version changes Tor in Docker deployment to be optional, limits the exposure of the public Lightning API, and removes several deprecated or unmaintained integrations. All server administrators are advised to update, and operators relying on Tor or affected integrations should check deployment changes beforehand. The Plugin Builder, which was previously suspended due to server breaches, has reopened, with build tasks now running in a temporary isolated sandbox. New security controls include build output verification, administrator audit logs, new account creation, and build notifications.
