FLOP Testnet to Launch in October, Mainnet Expected in Q1 Next Year
FLOP Network is expected to launch a 90-day testnet in October, with plans to release the mainnet genesis block in the first quarter of next year. Arthur Hayes, co-founder of BitMEX, stated at TOKEN2049 that the project is currently running an internal development network. During the testnet period, users participating in mining, validation, or using the network through AI Agents will be able to earn FLOP Tokens. FLOP plans to release 25% of the token supply for the next decade through airdrops starting in late October, and there will be no presale for the project. After the mainnet goes live, FLOP Tokens will only be obtainable through mining or purchasing from miners. FLOP aims to build a native payment network for AI Agents, with the core design allowing tokens to directly correspond to the computational resources required by AI Agents.
