Fidelity includes Bitcoin in 60/20/20 portfolio allocation

By: coinness.com|10/02/2026 03:44:43

Fidelity Global Macro Director Jurrien Timmer presented a 60/20/20 asset-allocation model consisting of 60% equities, 20% bonds, and 20% alternative assets, with Bitcoin included in the alternatives category. The latest allocation chart shared by Timmer on X shows that global equities account for 60%, while the remaining 40% is allocated to investment-grade bonds, Treasury Inflation-Protected Securities, gold, commodities, cash, Bitcoin, REITs, and managed futures. Timmer noted that the 60/20/20 model has replaced the traditional 60/40 stock-and-bond portfolio due to changing market conditions post-COVID-19, and he sees no reason to alter it. He emphasized that this allocation is not an optimized model or investment advice, but rather a rough example of asset allocation.
