Gate Ventures: Divergence Between US Stocks and Crypto Market, Primary Financing Rebounds to $107.1 Million
As of the week ending October 26, structural divergence has emerged in the global financial markets. US stocks are under pressure due to concerns over capital expenditures and ROI in the tech sector, with the Nasdaq and S&P 500 indices declining, while funds have shifted towards defensive sectors, propelling the Dow Jones to rise against the trend. The situation in the Middle East has led to a nearly 5% increase in Brent crude oil prices, while gold has fallen below $4,000. The total market capitalization of the crypto market has decreased by 2.2%, with Bitcoin and Ethereum dropping by 2.4% and 3.4%, respectively, and the Fear and Greed Index retreating to 50 (neutral). Institutional allocations have shown significant divergence, with a net inflow of $442.7 million into Bitcoin spot ETFs and a net outflow of $225 million from Ethereum spot ETFs. The construction of compliant infrastructure and the evolution of regulatory rules continue to deepen, with Bank Negara Malaysia launching the SSDS+ platform to promote the tokenization of debt bonds and Islamic bonds (Sukuk). The primary investment and financing market has significantly rebounded, with a total of 11 financing deals completed last week, disclosing a total amount of $107.1 million, a staggering increase of 436% compared to the previous week. The infrastructure sector accounted for 7 transactions and $90.5 million in financing, with significant funding for fintech and payment infrastructure projects Meow ($31.6 million) and Mural ($15 million), indicating a concentration of capital towards embedded finance, tokenized settlements, and underlying on-chain infrastructure.
