Rubio Claims Oil Price Increase Due to Yemen and Ukraine Conflicts
U.S. Secretary of State Rubio stated that the main reasons for the rise in oil prices are the situation in Yemen and the conflict in Ukraine. He hopes to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict and mentioned that it would be "a good idea" for Ukraine and Russia to stop attacking energy infrastructure. Rubio pointed out that the ideal outcome would be for both countries not to target energy facilities. He also noted that Ukraine's actions against related vessels might not be intentional, but the U.S. is concerned about vessels associated with the U.S. becoming targets of attacks.
